Château de Plèneselve
The château de Plèneselve
is located in the french commune of Bon-Encontre, near
Agen in the department of Lot-et-Garonne (47). It is at
the border of the Aquitaine and Midi-Pyrénées regions between
Toulouse and Bordeaux, in the Quercy just a few miles from
Gascony. Local gastronomy such as foie gras and cassoulet
are dishes of world reputation and regional wines - besides
Bordeaux - are Buzet, Cahors and Brulhois.
The de Biolley family
Martine and Rodolphe de
Biolley are happy to greet you in their medieval chateau
and will do everything they can to make your stay a pleasent
one. It's after falling in love with the area that they
decided to buy the castle, the property which had been
turned into a golf coarse. Renovations made since they
acquired the property have turned the chateau into a comfortable
and discreetly luxurious place with comfortable bedrooms.
Situated in the middle of a 69 acre parc of woods, fields
and ponds, this beautiful 12th century castle overlooks
a marvelous green valley from which magnificent sunsets
can be admired. With family or friends or even for business
meetings, this charming castle will enchant you.
Whil respecting traditional architecture, rooms are modern and comfortable.
Most of them have en suite bathrooms.
From 2 to 26 persons
The castle
may be rented as a whole, but you can also rent the "four
à pain" seperately. This building was the castles bakery
and has been converted to
a comfortable and cozy place perfect for two to four persons.
On the ground floor, a nice little kitchen with a dining
area and a living room. On the first floor, a double bedroom
seperated by half a stone wall. Each side has a double bed.
The place is ideal for a family or two couples.
The "pigeonnier" is being renovated but will soon be available for rent.
There is also a beautiful swimming pool with a wonderful view on the valley.
